So Corluka’s finally done, he will be excellent cover for Ledley, may even play right back until Hutton is fit but I’ll miss Zakora if he does.
Others still in the pipeline are;
Veloso – He has to be the no.1 target, certainly a player I would love to see in a Spurs shirt.
Arshavin – Apparently not dead yet, not sure if I want us spending £20m or so on this guy but let’s see what happens.
Milito – Seems like we are not the only one after his services, would be a decent signing.
Fraizer Campbell – As part of the Berbatov deal from Man Utd. Very good player by all accounts, happy as long as we aren’t paying too much for his services.
Heskey, Larsson and Owen – The complete bullshine rumours!
I’ll try and update as and when anything happens.
Would like to see us sign a world class Defensive midfielder like diarra.
don’t think diarra’s going to happen pal, I’d like to see him too.
Diarra is not world class anyway. Yes he’s better than Zokora, but that don’t make him the nuts.
We need Veloso or the guy from Belgium, Diarra is too short, if we signed him we’d have only Hudd who’s over 6ft!
According to Daily Telegraph our final day wishlist is as follows:
Andrei Arshavin (Zenit St Petersburg – £24m)
Vedran Corluka (Manchester City – £7m) – Deal done
Marouane Fellani (Standard Liege – £11m)
Diego Milito (Real Zaragoza – £10m)
Raul Garcia (Real Zaragoza – £8m)
Frazier Campbell (Manchester United – £6m)
No mention of Veloso – seems to be on/off depending on what you read.
Whatever happens, looks like it’s going to be a busy day for Ramos and Levy!
I think that Corluka and Pavluchenko will be the last one. Maybe Campbell in Berbatov deal, but with Pavluchenko and Bent upfront it would not be smart to add unproven player at this level. I guess United will sell him to Hull for 7 instead and use that money for Bulgarian.
