Tottenham Hotspur continued their fine form this past weekend, brushing aside a decent Leicester City team at the King Power Stadium. Some mobile sports books reacted to Spurs’ recent defeat at the hands of Arsenal too soon by lengthening Tottenham’s odds for a top four finish, but two Premier League victories on the bounce have seen the Lilywhites return to third spot in the table, above key rivals Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Spurs took the lead on the stroke of halftime through a Son Heung-Min belter, which really took the wind out of the Leicester City sails. This was Son’s third goal in his last four Premier League games, and underlines the South Korean’s importance within the Tottenham Hotspur squad. Son has a fantastic habit of stepping up when Harry Kane is absent, a quality that Mauricio Pochettino is no doubt most grateful for.

Following a mixed few months as far as his form is concerned, Dele Alli has really turned a corner in recent weeks. The former MK Dons man has now found the back of the net a total of 50 times in all competitions for Spurs, a club also occupied by both Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min. Spurs are the only Premier League club to have three players achieve this feat since the 2015-16 campaign.

This 12th victory of the season in the Premier League for Tottenham gives Pochettino’s men a return of 36 points – their best ever start to a Premier League campaign. When you take into account all of the negativity surround Spurs’ failed move to the new stadium, as well as the lack of recent transfer activity, their current points total becomes all the more impressive. Even the new online kiwi casino would have been struggling to match the excitement of Tottenham fans in North London following their side’s impressive pre-Christmas return.

Should Dele Alli be able to continue his excellent form throughout the course of the campaign, there is no reason why Spurs can’t challenge for top honours. Things can only get better once the transfer window opens and the new stadium nears completion. This is a great time to be a Tottenham fan, and an important period in the club’s history. Spurs are definitely on the verge of achieving greatness.
