Corluka, Kaboul and Roma

Corluka, Kaboul and Roma

Last night Vedran Corluka was a Spurs player, today he’s been forced back to Manchester by City boss Mark Hughes. Everything was tied up apart from his work permit and he was meant to be attending the Roma game today.

Things are never perfect where Spurs are concerned but I feel for Man City fans, the club seems an absolute shambles and Mark Hughes must be wondering what he’s doing there. The deal has been negotiated behind his back and it would not surprise me if he were to resign before long.

We have finally offloaded Younes Kaboul to Portsmouth for a reported £6m, good money I thought. This deal has been dragging on for ages I’m glad it’s finally sorted. If we can still get Corluka in we are getting a much better player for just £2m more which is great business.

I didn’t get to the game today but it was a cracking performance by all accounts. It may have only been a friendly but to put five past a team of Roma’s quality in any game is something special. Two goals for Bentley and another two for the on fire Darren Bent, Lennon got the other. I’ve got everything crossed that Bent can carry this form into the season proper.

  1. Zenit are having fun today …. serves them right for not selling us Arshavin … getting thrashed by Rubin Kazan, down to 9 men and one of Kazan’s goals came from Sergei Rebrov

  2. aaaahhh, I wondered what happened to Rebrov, nice one!
Fuck knows whats going on at Citeh, I’m just glad I don’t support them, lets just get our man then sit back and watch them implode. Hughes was mad to take the job after seeing what happened to Sony-Göran Eriksson.

  3. seems things have gone pete tong at the northen monkey stadium, the rumour is that Thaksin is the one whos has sold Corluka and Tried to sell Ireland too! Truble is he didnt tell mr Hughes whos has now said that if Corluka goes so does he and just to add spice to it THFC are claiming that the deal was signed and papers forwarded to the FA!!!!! This will be intresting!!

  4. JUST WANT TO SAY TO ALL THE IDIOT SPURS FANS WHO SLAGGED CITY OFF AS A SMALL CLUB WHO COULDNT COMPETE FOR PLAYERS WITH SPURS GO AND FUCK YOURSELVES IT WASNT HUGHES WHO KEPT CORLUKA HE WANTED TO SELL FOR THE RIGHT PRICE IT WAS CORLUKA WHO TURNED YOU DOWN BECAUSE IT WAS A SHIT HOLE DOWN THERE AND YOU COULDNT MATCH HIS WAGES NEVERMIND BEAT THEM I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT.

  5. Corluka wanted to stay, he only had a chat with spuds because he thought he wasn’t wanted – which wasn’t the case

As for Roma, fck them – everyone knows the italian league is second rate – lets see how you mugs get on against boro

    cuntchops

  6. Im sick of these lies i work at white hart lane and the paperwork was not signed by manchester city fc the reason it didnt go ahead is because hughes who WAS willing to sell for the right price wasnt happy with the fee (7.2 million)and on top of that corluka who didnt mind coming to tottenham hotspur fc to team up with his friend (modric)is happy in manchester, also gunners fan is correct unfortunately corluka wasnt happy with his wage offer
(£37,500 per week) as it was less than his current (£45,200 per week) at manchester city fc i hopethis clears things up and people will stop making uptheir own stories.

  7. Hmmm, how do you explain then that Corluka’s agent has come out and said that passed a medical and *agreed personal terms* with Spurs?

  8. I didnt say he didnt agree to terms i said he wasnt happy with the wages on offer, which made it easier for him to go back to manchester, if you think im a lier you will see on vital tottenham that they have reported today after my post that city didnt complete the paperwork as i said. I hope this clears the *agreed terms* problem up.
